Pure folly. I saw a documentary on this.

Whales, who are actually aliens, send a probe back to Earth to find colonists they left aeons ago.

But there are none left, we killed them all, and the storms they cause result in world wide power failures and a crisis.

All because of solar power.

Will we never learn?
