Given that DeepSeek apparently trained off OpenAI's outputs and effectively stole their IP, is this really a sign they mastered 'kaizen'? Or that they continue to practice industrial espionage effectively? That said I think there is some truth to the claim when you see how fast China is advancing in other areas such as nuclear power, or aerospace (drones), or in building out their military.
